Hungarian Academy of Arts

Hungarian cartoonist Gábor Pápai reacted to an antisemitic incident at the Hungarian Academy of Arts, where civil rights activist Márton Gulyás protested against a new bill and was removed from the stage.
On the 9th of November, the International Day against Fasicsm and Antisemtism, we want to remember the Kristallnacht (also known as "Night of Broken Glass"). In the night between the 9th and the 10th of November 1938 a wave of violent anti-Jewish pogroms took place throughtout Germany, annexed Austria, and in areas of the Sudetenland in Czechoslovakia recently occupied by German troops. Antisemitism, however, did not stop with World War II. It is still alive today. This cartoon has been drawn for Get The Trolls Out! by the political cartoonist and author Polyp.
