A random, unrelated Islamophobic outburst when discussing a rape and murder case, actually happened. On 17th May, Panagiotis Economou (a lawyer by profession) was writing for Athens Voice, a Greek media outlet, to discuss the rape and murder of Eleni Topaloudi. ⁠⠀

He proceeded to rant about the Quran, the Burqa and suggest that Muslims in Europe get preferential treatment. ⁠⠀

To clarify, there were no Muslims involved in the tragic case of Topaloudi.⁠⠀
