Who We Are

The Media Diversity Institute (MDI) is the lead partner of Get The Trolls Out! It works internationally to encourage and facilitate responsible media coverage of diversity. It aims to prevent the media from intentionally or unintentionally spreading prejudice, intolerance and hatred which can lead to social tensions, disputes and violent conflict. MDI encourages instead, fair, accurate, inclusive and sensitive media coverage in order to promote understanding between different groups and cultures.

ALDA - European Association for Local Democracy, is a key stakeholder in the field of local democracy, active citizenship, and cooperation between local authorities and civil society in Europe, its Neighbourhood, and all around the World, mainly acting through participative methods and decentralised cooperation. ALDA is a membership-based organisation gathering over 300 members, including local authorities, associations of local authorities, and civil society organisations, coming from more than 54 countries in the enlarged Europe.

The Center for Independent Journalism supports public interest journalism and works to create a media environment that protects and promotes freedom of expression and press freedom.  
 
Since its inception, CIJ has trained thousands of journalists, media students and managers on a non-profit basis. CIJ also publishes and promotes training resource materials.

The European Union of Jewish Students (EUJS), a Framework Partner of the European Commission, is the pluralistic, inclusive and non-partisan umbrella organisation of Jewish student unions in 36 countries across the continent. As the peer-led and democratic representation of Europe’s 160,000 young Jews, EUJS represents its members to European institutions, the OSCE, and the UNHRC, as well as towards other major Jewish organisations. 

The Independent Journalism Centre (IJC) is a non-profit, apolitical, civil society organization in the Republic of Moldova. Since 1994, IJC has been promoting respect for the right to freedom of expression and access to information. It supports professional journalism through training and assistance, contributes to improving media legislation through developing public policies, and promotes critical thinking among youth and adult population through media education programs. 

Neue deutsche Medienmacher*innen  is a German association that campaigns for more diversity in journalism and against online hate speech. 
Through our various projects, publications and campaigns, we provide information about non-discriminatory media work and empower journalists of colour as well as those from a migrant background. The organisation is backed up by a nationwide network of media professionals in Germany– with and without a migrant background – who work together for more diversity in the media landscape and a better standard of reporting. 

TheNEVER AGAINAssociation is an independent civil society organization founded in Warsaw in 1996. It has campaigned against racism, antisemitism, and xenophobia, for peace, intercultural dialogue and human rights in Poland and across the world.
