This project examined the dynamics, potential and limitations of counter-narratives against Islamophobia, on Twitter. The project examined 3 million tweets following: Brexit(2019/20), the Christchurch mosque attack(2019) and Coronavirus(2020).

IN THE UK
The current violence must act as a critical warning for the UK to recognise and address the danger posed by the far-right, as well as the political, media, and online landscape that has propagated and maintained hateful ideologies across society. As such, the following report seeks to explore the history, narratives, and strategies of the far-right in the UK. This allows us to offer recommendations that encompass legislative change, industry initiatives, and educational efforts to confront the dangers of the far-right that underpin the recent riots.
HOW THE BRITISH MEDIA REPORTS TERRORISM
The Centre for Media Monitoring (CfMM) released a report in August 202 which found that media coverage of terrorism has been consistently inconsistent, albeit with recent improvements following the Christchurch attack in which Brenton Tarrant killed 51 Muslim worshippers. CfMM analysed over 230,000 articles published in 31 national online media outlets to show the inconsistencies in the coverage of terrorist attacks, depending on the background of the perpetrator.
DEBUNKING MYTHS ON WOMEN’S RIGHTS, MUSLIM WOMEN, FEMINISM AND ISLAMOPHOBIA IN EUROPE
This document published by ENAR focuses on Muslim women in Europe in order to better address the intersectional discrimination affecting Muslim women (gender, religion, race and class). It also looks at myths on feminists in general, which needs to be debunked, including in the antiracism movement.

BEYOND THE INCIDENT: OUTCOMES FOR VICTIMS OF ANTI-MUSLIM PREJUDICE
This is the 2017 annual report by Tell MAMA. Tell MAMA (which stands for 'Measuring Anti-Muslim Attacks') is a British organisation that offers a secure and reliable service that allows people from across England to report any form of Anti-Muslim abuse. This report specifically spends time talking about the media, and highlights key mistakes made and also offers suggestions for a more inclusive media environment.

DEFINING ISLAMOPHOBIA
The guidance on Islamophobia attached at the bottom of this page produced by the European Forum of Muslim Women provides a definition of Islamophobia or anti-Muslim hatred, or anti-Muslim racism, and clarifies some of the confusion and complexities that exists around these terms, as well as providing useful links to further information.
GENDERED ANTI-MUSLIM HATRED AND ISLAMOPHOBIA
This is the 2018 interim report by Tell MAMA, and is based on anti-Muslim reports made between January to June 2018. It found that two-thirds of verified anti-Muslim and Islamophobic incidents occurred offline, or on a street-level. Of these street level incidents, 58% were targeted towards women. The report also looked at incidents of online anti-Muslim hate speech.
