FRENCH PARTNER LICRA COMPLAIN TO THE NATIONAL COUNCIL OF DOCTORS FOR TWEET PRAISING NAZI CRIMINAL
Get The Trolls Out French partner Licra has sent a complaint to the National Council of Doctors of France (“Ordre des Médecins”) to report an incident involving a group of doctors named “Laissonslesprescrire”.
The group posted a tweet referring to the Nazi criminal ‘Mengele’ as an authority in anthropology and medicine. The group’s tweet said:
The reference to Mengele, a SS physician who conducted inhumane medical experiments on prisoners at Auschwitz, is extremely inappropriate. In their statement, LICRA reiterated that modern healthcare literature does not, and should not, include criminal Nazi experiences.
The National Council of Doctors replied to LICRA stating that they “condemn strongly the unconscionable and unacceptable reference used by the collective @Laissonslespre1” and saying that “every doctor is bound by ethical duties in his/her public expression, in all circumstances”.
